Mar 12: Godfrey Lancashire - The Great Oak Screen of 1588: A Riveting Journey Through English Maritime History

Join us for a fascinating dive into the untold stories of England's maritime past with Godfrey Lancashire, all the way from Dorset, England. Godfrey will captivate us with “The Great Oak Screen of 1588,” an enthralling tale of piracy, salvage, and restoration that began during Elizabethan times.

This is more than history—it’s an adventure. Godfrey and his friend, best-selling author Damien Lewis, maneuvered and negotiated to preserve this remarkable piece of English heritage. Their efforts bring to life a rich story of resilience and the enduring power of historical artifacts.

Godfrey’s background is as intriguing as his story. After 25 successful years in banking, including serving as Head of Risk Management, he founded a private investigation firm specializing in fraud and money laundering cases. Under his leadership, the company grew to 45 offices across the UK. In retirement, he dedicates his time to the voluntary sector, particularly mentoring young people to reach their full potential.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a master storyteller with a unique perspective on history, adventure, and the preservation of heritage.
