Much to her mother’s consternation and hand-wringing worry, at 23, Susan RoAne traveled solo to Istanbul and Israel. And did so again in 2018.

She knew that having survived 13 years as a public school teacher in Chicago (in the very bad old days) and in San Francisco, she’d be FINE!

Although she wrote the best-selling trilogy on connecting and communicating, Susan RoAne has taken several SOLO vacations. And prefers it.

Because she follows her own advice to “SPEAK to Strangers” (even if they don’t pay a fee) , Susan was never lost or alone and has met and befriended people around the world.
