GGBC Member Michael Sera Michael M. Sera is a Board Member, Keynote Speaker and Technologist. Eliminating the technology and culture gap between Japan and Silicon Valley.

“Why is Japantown Important?"
The mission of the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj.org) is to collect, preserve and share the Japanese American history, culture and arts with the community. Our hope is that by sharing the past, history won't repeat itself. Unfortunately what happened to the Japanese Americans over 75 years ago is happening again as immigrant families move to America.

If you are interested in the Japanese American History and what the community is doing now, we invite the GGBC members and friends to join us for this talk on “Why is Japantown Important?” Presented by Michael Sera the Board President of JAMsj.

Michael currently serves on three non-profit boards, one as the President and two as committee chair. He brings his leadership and business background to each organization so that they can deal with the challenges as well as develop strategic and longer term plans for success. He is an accomplished speaker and moderator having addressed audiences both in Japan and the US in Japanese and English.

Michael also helps Japanese companies work with Silicon Valley. His current clients are Multi Billion Dollar Electronic Distributors and he helps them interface with the top tier semiconductor and electronic firms in Silicon Valley. He thrives on helping his clients find new prospects as well as quickly resolving issues from a technical as well as business perspective. His network is extensive having worked and lived in Silicon Valley and Japan for his entire career.
