Just Get to the Trailhead: How Even Small Doses of Nature Benefit Us All

Lisa Louis, writer and creator of HikingAutism.com, shares insights on the powerful effects of even small doses of nature to help us live more focused, satisfying lives, using the moving story of her profoundly autistic son as an example.

Trapped at home by his overwhelmed sensory system and other challenges of autism, the family got son Sean to walk the beautiful trails of San Francisco and Marin County as a way to participate in the world around him.
Lisa’s ultimate message is that even when life seems overwhelming, it’s worth the effort to get up, get out, and keep putting one foot forward!
