July 10th, Leslie Charles, CSP. - When it rains, let it soar—the art of reinvention

The road to success is not always smooth. How clever have you been in tapping into your hidden assets when hurdles and roadblocks have come your way? You want to be acutely aware of your innate traits — the qualities for which you are most frequently complimented — and criticized. These signature strengths help you shift into new directions during  unexpected events or disruptions, opening possibilities you may not have imagined. Leslie Charles will illustrate how these unique factors have influenced her life’s path and how they can do the same for you by tracing the breadcrumbs.

For forty years Leslie enjoyed a successful speaking and writing career, inspiring audiences to own up and embrace personal transformation, just as she did. Her unusual take on change and stress combines the best of research in neuroscience and her dedicated daily practice of the principles she writes and speaks about, lend credibility and authenticity to what she’s accomplished. She is the recipient of numerous awards from Toastmasters, including Distinguished Alumi from Lansing Community College and an Outstanding Alumni from Michigan State University’s Com/Art/Sci Department.
