Our esteemed speaker, Veena R. Howard, Ph.D., is a Professor of Asian Religious Traditions in the Department of Philosophy at California State University, Fresno. She also holds the Endowed Chair in Jain and Hindu Dharma and serves as the director of the M.K. Gandhi Center: Inner Peace and Sarvodaya. As the coordinator of the Peace and Conflict Studies Program, Dr. Howard brings a wealth of knowledge and insight.
Dr. Howard is a prolific author and editor, with three books and over two dozen articles published in scholarly journals and anthologies. Her contributions extend beyond academia, having served on various community boards, including the Board of Trustees of the Parliament of the World’s Religions. Known for her engaging and insightful presentations, Dr. Howard combines scholarly depth with a passion for sharing Gandhi's enduring legacy.
