Sept. 20th, Carolyn Whitesell: How can Mountain Lions and People Navigate Being Neighbors?

Mountain lions are apex predators that play an integral role in our ecosystem. We’ll start with a brief history of mountain lion status in California and then will delve into how mountain lions and people have (and need to) adapted to sharing a landscape filled with freeways, houses, livestock, and pets.

Carolyn Whitesell, PhD has studied carnivores in Namibia, Botswana, and Angola and now is a wildlife advisor for the University of California Cooperative Extension.
