Carl Walsh, spent twenty years in the world of theatre as an actor, director, and writer. There, he learned many leadership skills, especially as a director when he had to get an assembled group of egos moving in the same direction, with a unified vision.
In Corporate business he spent 29 years with such companies as The Wherehouse Record Store, C&R Clothiers, Smart and Final, and The Walt Disney Company. He worked through the ranks, starting as part time Christmas help in a record store (you heard me, RECORD STORE), then in Store Operations, then Information Technology. He left the corporate world as a Director of I.T.
He now co-hosts The Oval Table podcast and brings business experts to the weekly discussion about owning and operating a small or closely-held business, and building a high performance team. This morning, he will explain the Oval Table concept, who needs to be there, how to bring them into your vision, then how to get out of their way and let them perform.
